Langley Parish Registers

The chapel of St. John the Evangelist, which existed here in the time of King Henry II. is a small building of flint with stone dressings, in the Early English style, consisting of chancel, nave, south porch and a low western tower containing 4 bells: in 1919 a shrine was placed in the church to the memory of the men of the village who fell in the Great War, 1914-18: there are 120 sittings. The register of baptisms dates from 1678; marriages and burials from 1690.
